“ After a long walk in the Epping forest through rain, wind and mud I was hungry. Decided to give O.G. Babs a try and I had a lovely experience. The staff members welcomed me with a friendly smile, prepared me a delicious chicken Donner wrap with everything. The kebab place is very clean and modern. After a long walk I now know where to come for a healthy meal! I definitely recommend! ”
“ There is a new player in town, (OG Babs) you will find this place just opposite Chingford station on station road you this is a new food outlet I’m not going to lie its just too good and far too special to be called a kebab joint. It’s beautifully special because of the quality of the food. Today I popped in and had a chance to sample the food and some of the sides. Because I only eat chicken and fish I of course had the Chicken Shish. It did not disappoint the food was fresh and delicious and if you follow my reviews you will know that I don’t mess around when it comes to the quality of food. The place is clean and it has that new feel to it, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner because its newly opened, he was there to oversee his vision and his pride and joy. He has a lot of pride in his food and mentions family recipes and traditions when you meet someone who talks about his family and grandparents and the way they loved quality food then you know you are eating in a place with pride in their food which in turn should make you feel reassured in what you are putting into your body. This place is newly opened and has been in the making for months. He has plans for an outside seating in the summer, which will be great. Back to the food, I had Chicken Shish with rice and a very special bread alongside some great sides I tried the Carrot Tararor which has a unique flavour and went really well with the food. I also had the artichoke boiled in orange juice, now you must admit that sounds amazing and it was. So when you visit just ask for samples of the Hidarie, and the Turkish Pide. You will thank me. The salad was served separately and it was fresh and delicious, I really enjoyed my first visit and will be back. I can see this place growing in popularity because of the quality of the food, it just felt like quality. Ah i almost forgot I then tried the sweets, I had the Baklava, which was sweet and moist, really nice, it’s quite traditional so no surprise there. I had a taste of the Sutlac which was like a rice pudding. That was nice if you like that type of thing. It had the flavours of orange peel and vanilla so the taste is amazing. So in its first month I would say this place is definitely worth a visit if you want quality food that is not the typical Turkish kebab shop. Outside there is plenty of parking spaces in paid bays and the station is literally across the road so you don’t have to drive. I always judge places by the cleanliness of the toilets and this did not disappoint the toilet was clean and well kept. Enjoy and let me know what your experience was , on my visit I had great service from great staff with a smile and that’s all i ever want when i spend my money in any food outlet. ”
